What is HBO Max?
HBO Max is the new streaming service that will be the future home to all of Time Warner’s content. Including the newly acquired Warner Bros, and DC Entertainment properties, such as DC Universe and the Harry Potter franchise.
It will also be the new home for all current HBO shows like Big Little Lies, Silicon Valley, and House of Dragons.
HBO Max will cost about $16.99 per month with a one-year commitment. If you have an existing HBO subscription, you’ll get a $5 discount per month. If you are an existing Cinemax subscriber, you can subscribe to HBO Max for $9.99 per month with Ads.

Why Did HBO Create Max?
HBO has been the home of some of the most beloved series, movies, documentaries, and specials. But, many of these shows are only available to those who subscribe to a cable or satellite TV package.
The new Max streaming service is designed to be an all-in-one solution for all the content you love from HBO and the addition of Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment content. There will be no Max app, but rather all the content will be streamed through HBO apps like HBO GO and HBO NOW. Max is also an opportunity for HBO to expand its subscriber base and reach a new audience through a standalone streaming service with a lower monthly price point than what’s currently offered with cable.
How HBO Max is different from HBO Now?
HBO Now was the handiest manner for non-cable subscribers to gain access to HBO’s content material, with cable subscribers pointed in the direction of the (now defunct) HBO move.
With the discharge of HBO Max, all HBO Go and HBO Now subscribers were switched over to the brand-new service free of charge.
Like maximum streaming services, all you want to do is access the carrier from a PC, phone, or another supported tool, pick out the display you need to look at, and start streaming.
As the name suggests, the new subscription streaming service will be the new home to all of HBO’s content, including the past, present, and future series and specials. This includes the entire HBO library and the addition of Warner Bros content, including the Harry Potter franchise and the DC Entertainment properties.
In addition, Max will have a slate of new series including Joss Whedon’s Lovecraft Country and Jordan Peele’s The Twilight Zone.
Max will have a “Look for Less” feature, which will allow you to track down movies and TV shows that are similar to what you are watching.
One of the most important things to consider before you subscribe to a streaming service is what shows and movies are available.
The first thing that comes to mind when we discuss the advantages of HBO Max is its expansive library of shows and movies. The service offers an incredible amount of content, making it well worth the price of admission.
If you’re a fan of the shows on HBO, then you’ll probably love the stuff that’s on Max. The downside is that this is a very general library and doesn’t cater to any specific type of viewer. Another positive is that you can watch it on all your devices.
Whether you want to watch on your computer, smartphone, or TV, HBO Max has you covered. The downside is that there is no option for offline viewing, so you’ll need a constant internet connection to watch anything.
The first thing that comes to mind when we discuss the disadvantages of HBO Max is the cost. With all these added features, the price is only going to go up. Although HBO Max is currently a standalone service, it’s unclear how much it will cost in the long run and whether or not it will be worth the price.
Another downside is that the service doesn’t have a ton of original content.
While all the HBO shows are great, there’s nothing new and exciting that you can only access through Max. If you’re looking for something that is released solely on the Max platform, you’re out of luck.
When we researched the Top 15 online websites for the most watched shows on HBO then found that the most watched thing on HBO Max is definitely Game of Thrones (GOT). There have been thousands of articles written about this phenomenon, but there’s no question that it’s one of the most popular shows ever made.
If you’ve somehow managed to avoid this series up until now, we won’t spoil the ending for you.
